I watched Rick Gervais' stand-up comedy thing on HBO. It was entertaining. The niveau of the jokes was quite low. Not really witty humour. Lots of gay jokes. But it is Ricky Gervais, so you'll laugh anyway.
The new Leverage episode was better. Quite funny, but I'm not happy with the Sophie storyline. And it feels like the writers are running out of con ideas already.
But still better than watching Defying Gravity. Oh Ron Livingston, why can't you be on an awesome show? |

| Ice Age 3 |

Went to see Ice Age 3 yesterday. It was surprisingly good. Way better than the second one. And of course it had the additional benefit of Simon Pegg. You could really hear that it was his voice and he did great. He's been working so much lately, it gives me great joy to see him being appreciated by a much bigger audience today. Go Simon!
Now, I'm off to watch the Wimbledon finale. Hopefully Federer wins. |

I stopped watching Chuck and I think I'll replace it with Leverage. Chuck was a fun show to watch until it became super boring and predictable. Leverage is not the most awesome show, but it is entertaining and made me like Aldis Hodge and Christian Kane.

Damn you, Dan Abnett! Always killing off my favorite characters in "Gaunt's Ghosts". There is basically just one left that I really like.
I read some bad spoilers for Supernatural. Suddenly I'm not looking forward to the new episodes that much anymore.
It also seems like there will be no new episodes of Eureka in January. :( |

New Kids On The Block were on a German show last night. They still have all the boygroup moves. But it was so strange seeing Donnie Wahlberg like that after having seen him on Band of Brothers.
But I think it's great that they're doing a comeback. |

Damn you, weather! I've been reading on the balcony in the sun the past few days and today it's raining. And I should also go to the post office. I ordered books and I'm getting anxious, cause the boyfriend's birthday present is in it, too. Need it on monday.
I've been playing way too much with my wii fit. I'm all sore. :) And I still haven't stopped randomly patting myself on the shoulder for my magna cum laude bachelor diploma.
I'm probably the only person to say that, but I liked 90210. If you don't expect it to have anything to do with the original 90210, it's just your typical omg!teen high school drama. And it's got some cute boys. |

It's Moonlight all over again. Well, kinda.
I was just starting to settle into Eureka and changing form a casual viewer to a fan. And now my favorite character died. I thought it was cheap writing but now I've heard that the actor actually wanted to leave. Wow, I'm so pissed at Ed Quinn right now. What actor is crazy enough to leave a regular spot on a well running show where everyone loves his character? It's like Michael Shanks leaving Stargate to persue a big career... that obviously never happend. So he came back. Of course I wish Quinn the best for his future but that was really dumb if you ask me. |

My week has really sucked this far. Let me show you it:
I've been having a mean headache for the entire week, I didn't get the classes I wanted for next semester cause most of them were full after 4 minutes, the boyfriend hit his head against a window (he is clumsy like that) and had a bad cut on his forehead, he also got an inoculation so his arm hurts pretty bad and yesterday his car broke down. His week hasn't really been great either. Can you tell?
And in less important news. Eureka did the worst "Groundhog Day" episode ever. I was already bored during the first day. The loops were almost unbearable and the ending sucked like crazy. Did I ever mention that I hate love triangles? And resolving it like Eureka did is just weak.
Stargate Atlantis getting cancelled is just the rotten cherry on top. |

Yesterday we watched the "Dungeon Siege" movie with Jason Statham in it. As much as I usually enjoy any movie with him no matter how bad it is, well, this one was complete and utter shit. It made absolutely no sense. So we spent the whole time guessing what other movies we knew all the actors from. And we basically knew everyone. Even the boy playing wee Sammy Winchester was in it and Brian White from "Moonlight". The only funny thing: There is a petition that asks the director of the movie to stop making films. Aparently they are all equally as bad.
In other British actor related news: since I checked out the BoB shooting locations, I'm in the mood for some stuff with Damian Lewis. I feel like rewatching "The Forsyte Saga" or some other British films with him. |

Joss Whedon and his musicals. "Dr. Horrible's sing along-blog" is simply hilarious. And the sheer awesomeness of Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer...
Now I'm gonna have an image of Captain Tightpants Hammer riding on the roof of a moving van singing " a man's gotta do..." in my head all day. Like that's a bad thing. |

It's really starting to look like Moonlight is dead for good. Sad as it is, I've kinda already moved on. Having more free time now I've started catching up with a lot of other shows. Mainly The Tudors, Burn Notice and Chuck.
Chuck is by far my most favorite show right now. It's funny, entertaining and well written. I guess I actually like every character, which is rare. It's not very surprising that I like the supporting ones better. That usually happens to me. What caught me a little by surprise is that I'm completely smitten by Adam Baldwin. I've seen him in so much before and never really cared for him. But now he's the main reason I watch Chuck. And I've actually started watching Firefly. It's all very strange. |

I saw pics of the Speed Racer world premier today. Not that I care about that film but the Moonlight cast was there. All looking great! And Alex O'Loughlin's fashion choices never fail to make me laugh.
Harry Hamlin and wife also attended, so it was like an Echolls family reunion. And the kid who played Ben Dean's son on Supernatural was also there.

Seeing pics and videos from the Moonlight panel at NY Comic Con first thing in the morning is great. Every day should start like this!
And Jason Dohring was looking very, very good. Everyone keeps commenting on him looking damn fine in that leather jacket. I agree, but think that it's funny that he's wearing the jacket Josef wore in one of the Moonlight episodes. |

My logistics lecture is made of epic boredom. I actually have to force myself to go and listen. The topic would be interesting but the prof. is just awful.
My bachelor thesis is still driving me nuts. I've been working on it for about 3 hours every day and I just can't see that stuff anymore. It's very frustrating.
And it means that I'm at my computer for quite some time every day and still miss everything interesting that's going on. Like the promo pics and the trailer for the new Moonlight episode. But I have to say that I'm really excited because of those. I need more Josef! Seems like the only shows I'm really missing are Supernatural, Moonlight and Life. |

| Winter is back |

So I've already been runing around in a t-shirt in february and last night it snowed again. Looks like winter will be back for a few days.
It also looks like we are going to have to get a new car. It wasn't damaged in the fire in our garage but you probably won't be able to get the toxic smell out.
Still haven't gotten my exam results. But hey, it has only been *four* weeks. It's not that I'm kinda anxious here.
I've also started watching some Veronica Mars. For the sole reason that is a very delicious Jason Dohring. And I only watch the Logan scenes. Which are the best anyway. Not a big a fan of the other characters. |

My psychology exams are all done now. I'm very satisfied with two of them. But the most important one was crap. It so going to drag my overall grade down and that annoys me. Why do I have to know statistical figures by heart when they are in the manual for a test? The manual is there to look things up so you DONT have to know them. Stupid shit. Why don't you ask the important things we learned?
And now I have to go on studying for the 3 exams next week. Which is also my last week of holidays. |

I'm very excited for the new Supernatural episode. It's been such a long wait and with no new Life and Gossip Girl. But with an exam on monday that was actually good. Didn't get distracted.
While studying is always a little frustrating, I was quite angry this time. Not only did I find out that my professor downloaded all his powerpoint presentations fom the Prentice Hall companion website for *students* and put his name on them. But I also realized that a lot of the quizzes you can test your progress with have wrong answers. I was sooo confused when told that my answers were wrong until I saw that the authors were wrong. Way to mess with the head of stressed out students Prentice Hall. Go die in a fire! |

I had Ben&Jerry's icecream for the first time tonight. It was Chocolate Therapy and just great. Very chocolatey and sweet. And it really felt like therapy. I've done 22h of literature research for my bachelor thesis already and am nowhere near done. It's very frustrating.
But in better news... Life got an order for nine more episodes. And there will be new episodes of all my favorite shows this week. |

So, I made elaborate study plans for today which involved lots of reading in the library. I had the feling that it might not be open as long as usual on a friday so I checked. Which is when I found out that it's not open at all in the afternoon. Hello?! What is it with people thinking that Friday is just half a workday? Just because you work in administration doesn't mean that you have the right to go home early! In my opinion the library should be open all the time so I can study whenever I want to. It's outrageous! Also because it's entirely closed on Saturday when you actually don't have classes and time to read.
And I'm still waiting for the results of an exam I took 7 weeks ago. What the hell is taking them so long? |
